Care Groups

We want all our members to be able to benefit and contribute to the work and fellowship of Christ’s church here at Madison.

The Goal of the Care Group Ministry at Madison is to help every member get fully connected and engaged with the congregation here. This ministry provides a place for each member to be part of a small group, a Care Group, that is charged with aspects of the work and fellowship here at Madison. It is the goal of this ministry that the church at Madison will be spiritually strengthened and encouraged.

The Care Groups serve and provide leadership in four (4) primary areas: 1) congregational attendance, 2) family level fellowship, 3) special needs, and 4) congregation level work efforts. The congregational work efforts include: our 2nd Sunday fellowship meal hosted by two (2) Care Groups each month; our congregation-wide fellowships during which each group has assigned duties; and some congregational information needs accomplished as a calling tree.

There are nine (9) of these Care Groups at Madison, each consisting of about 35 families which gives a small congregation closeness to the church here. Each of these Care Groups are in turn broken into teams consisting of five (5) to six (6) families that give each member an opportunity for Christian fellowship and service.

There are always areas of needed assistance in this ministry. Specifically: each family can work to meet and incorporate new members into the congregation and fellowship; and caring and faithful husband/wife or single men are needed to lead a Family Team (5 or 6 families) or a Care Group.
